Óir & Grace is a contemporary Irish jewellery brand founded by designer Claire Staunton.
Our jewellery is inspired by Ireland: its coastlines, landscapes, heritage and the stories that stay with us.
Because jewellery can be more than something beautiful to wear. It can remind us of a place, a person, a moment or a chapter in our lives. That is what I wanted to create with Óir & Grace.
Why Óir & Grace?
The name brings together two ideas at the heart of the brand.
Óir is connected to the Irish word for gold, while the Irish word oir also carries the meaning of to suit, fit or become. That felt fitting.
Because the jewellery we choose should feel like it belongs to us. Something that suits who we are, rather than simply following a trend.
And then there is Grace.
For me, Grace represents that feeling when something feels right. Personal. Effortless. Yours.

Inspired by Ireland
The idea for Óir & Grace grew from family journeys around Ireland.
My husband, our two children and I love exploring the coast, returning to familiar places and discovering new ones.
Kinsale. The Hook Peninsula. The Causeway Coast.
These places have become part of our family story, and they became the inspiration for the collections.
A harbour. A lighthouse. Ancient stone. The movement of the sea. Stories of treasure and journeys home.
I take these details and translate them into contemporary jewellery designed to carry a little piece of Ireland with you.
DESIGNED WITH INTENTION
Every Óir & Grace piece is designed in Ireland, with the story and design concept considered before it becomes jewellery.
We use certified recycled 925 sterling silver, with rhodium plating or 14ct gold vermeil, including a substantial 2.5 micron layer of gold. Our pieces are hallmarked by the Dublin Assay Office.
We work with ethical and certified production partners and continually look for more responsible ways to create, package and grow the brand.
From product designer to jewellery designer
Design has always been part of my life. I studied Industrial and Product Design in Carlow before beginning my career designing surgical simulators. I later moved into technology, spending 16 years in email marketing, including eight years as CEO.
After years of building businesses and balancing a demanding career with family life, I wanted to create something of my own.
Something that brought together my love of design, Ireland and storytelling.
So I started again.
I spent 18 months developing Óir & Grace, from the first designs and collections through to the materials, packaging and brand itself.

The inspiration may begin in Ireland. But once a piece becomes yours, its story changes.
It might mark a milestone, remind you of home, become a gift from someone you love or simply be the piece you reach for because it feels like you.
That is what Óir & Grace is about.

A note from me
Starting Óir & Grace has been a leap of faith, but also one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
I wanted to create jewellery that feels personal, that has a story behind it and that can become part of someone else's story too.
Every piece starts with something that means something to me, whether that is a place, a memory or a detail from Ireland's landscape. I hope that when you choose a piece of Óir & Grace, it takes on a meaning of your own.
