A Story Born From Ireland
Óir & Grace was founded by Claire Staunton, a product designer with a lifelong appreciation for thoughtful craftsmanship, meaningful design and the stories held within the things we treasure.
From Ireland, Claire set out to create jewellery that goes beyond adornment. Each piece is designed to hold a connection: to a place, a memory, a tradition, or a moment that stays with us.
Bringing together a passion for design and storytelling, Óir & Grace celebrates Ireland’s rich heritage through a contemporary lens. Inspired by the landscapes, legends and quiet moments that shape this island, every piece captures a fragment of Ireland and reimagines it into modern jewellery created to be cherished.
The name Óir & Grace brings together two ideas at the heart of our brand: the enduring beauty of gold and the quiet elegance found in life’s most meaningful moments.
Óir, meaning gold in Irish, represents something precious, lasting and deeply treasured. More than a material, gold has carried stories across generations, marking celebrations, connections and memories that remain long after the moment has passed.
Grace reflects the beauty found in simplicity, nature and the moments that move us. It speaks to the gentle strength of Ireland’s landscapes, the stories woven through its heritage and the timeless elegance we seek to capture in every design.
Together, Óir & Grace represents jewellery created to celebrate connection, preserve memories and carry a little piece of Ireland with you wherever life takes you.
Where Stories become jewellery
Every Óir & Grace piece begins with a moment of stillness.
Claire’s creative process is slow and intentional, shaped by time spent exploring Ireland’s landscapes, listening to the stories held within its places, and noticing the quiet details that often go unseen. Inspiration is found in the changing light across the coastline, the movement of the sea, the textures of the land and the memories carried through generations.
Many designs begin long before a sketch is drawn. They begin in moments of connection: wandering the shores of Wexford, watching the tides shift and discovering the stories woven into the coastline; returning to places such as Kinsale, where history, heritage and the sea meet; or standing beneath the dramatic cliffs of the Causeway, surrounded by a landscape shaped over centuries.
These experiences become the foundation of each design. A shape, a texture, a feeling or a story becomes a sketch, and a sketch becomes jewellery created to hold meaning.
Each piece is thoughtfully designed in Ireland, crafted in certified recycled sterling silver or 14 carat gold vermeil, and brought to life by skilled goldsmiths who share our dedication to quality, detail and craftsmanship.
Every piece carries a trace of where it began: the curve of a shoreline, the movement of waves, the softness of mist across the hills, or the warmth of golden light breaking through the clouds. A small connection to Ireland, created to be treasured wherever your story takes you.
Crafted With Care and Intention
At Óir & Grace, every piece is created with care, consideration and respect for the craft behind it.
From the first sketch to the finished design, each detail is thoughtfully considered. Our jewellery is designed in Ireland and brought to life by skilled goldsmiths who share our commitment to quality, precision and timeless craftsmanship. Every piece is carefully finished to ensure it can be treasured, worn and passed on for years to come.
We are proud to craft our jewellery using certified recycled sterling silver and 14 carat gold vermeil, choosing materials that reflect our belief in creating beautiful pieces with a more considered approach. Each material is selected for its quality, durability and ability to carry the story behind every design.
Our commitment extends beyond the jewellery itself. From responsible material choices to our carefully considered packaging, every part of the Óir & Grace experience is created with intention, from the moment a piece is made to the moment it arrives with you.
Every creation carries the hands, time and care of those who brought it to life, honouring both the tradition of craftsmanship and the story that inspired it.
A note from our founder
The idea for Óir & Grace began during journeys along the west coast of Ireland with my husband and children. We spent time exploring winding roads, quiet shores and wild landscapes where the land meets the sea, discovering places that felt filled with history, beauty and stories waiting to be uncovered.
There was something special about those moments: the feeling of standing somewhere that had witnessed generations before us, of looking out across a landscape shaped by time, and knowing that every place carried a story of its own. These journeys reminded me of the deep importance of storytelling in Ireland, and how the tales passed down through generations continue to shape the way we experience the world around us.
From the legends of giants who shaped the coastline to the hidden treasures and whispered tales connected to our shores, Irish stories have always been woven into the landscape itself. They speak of courage, resilience, love and belonging. They remind us that places are more than where we stand; they are where memories are made, connections are formed and stories continue to unfold.
Óir & Grace was created to honour that spirit: to celebrate the beauty of Ireland and the stories held within its landscapes through jewellery that feels both timeless and contemporary.
Each piece begins with a moment of inspiration: a place visited, a memory created, a detail noticed or a feeling captured. These moments are carefully transformed into designs created to be worn, cherished and passed on. Jewellery that holds a connection to Ireland while becoming part of your own story.
My hope is that every Óir & Grace piece carries with it a sense of place, a reminder of the moments that matter, and a little piece of the stories that make this island so extraordinary.
